Common Questions

Everything you need to know about our services

1. What makes Movement Lab different from traditional physical therapy?

We provide 1-on-1 personalized sessions (never group PT) specifically designed for athletes and active adults. Our approach combines evidence-based practices with innovative treatment methods like dry needling, shockwave therapy, and blood flow restriction training. We focus on treating the root cause and getting you back to peak performance, not just temporary pain relief.

2. Do you accept insurance?

Please call our office at (725) 209-2049 to discuss insurance options and payment plans. Our team will work with you to understand your coverage and create a plan that fits your needs.

3. How long are physical therapy sessions?

Each session is a full 1-on-1 appointment with your dedicated therapist. Session length is tailored to your specific treatment plan and goals. During your initial evaluation, we'll discuss the recommended session frequency and duration for optimal results.

4. What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring comfortable athletic clothing you can move in, any relevant medical records or imaging results, a list of current medications, and your insurance information. Come prepared to discuss your injury history, athletic goals, and what activities you want to return to.

5. What is dry needling and does it hurt?

Dry needling is an advanced treatment technique using thin needles to release muscle tension and trigger points. Many patients call it our 'best kept secret' for pain relief and recovery. Most people experience minimal discomfort, and the results are often immediate and dramatic.

6. How quickly will I see results?

Every patient is different, but many notice improvements after the very first session. Our comprehensive approach addresses root causes, not just symptoms, so you'll experience lasting results. We continuously monitor your progress and adjust your plan to ensure you're on track to return to your sport pain-free.
